Eligibility
Vantria Federal Credit Union would like to have you as a member. If you live, work, worship, go to school, or volunteer in Fairfax County, Virginia, or the independent City of Fairfax, Virginia, you are eligible to join Vantria Federal Credit Union (Vantria FCU). Fairfax County zip codes in the map below qualify. Family members of the above are also eligible to join Vantria FCU. Family members include spouses, children, siblings, parents, grandparents, grandchildren, and members of the immediate household.

Account Information Verification

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires your Credit Union to implement reasonable and practicable procedures to verify the identity of each person or entity applying to join the credit union or members and others seeking additional account services. All financial institutions are taking similar actions to insure that accounts are not used for terrorist purposes or money laundering activities. While these procedures have long been in use to prevent fraud, your credit union is increasing its diligence by:

1. Verifying the identity of any person seeking to open or be added to an account to the extent reasonable and practicable, including by not limited to verification of name, address, phone number, employment and taxpayer identification number, e.g., social security number;
2. Maintaining records of the information used to verify identity, including name, address and other identifying information, including but not limited to a photocopy of documents presented;
3. Consulting lists of known or suspected terrorists, or terrorist organizations provided to the financial institution by any government agency to determine whether a person seeking to open an account is on such a list; and,
4. Providing this notice of the Member Identification Program to members, account holders and customers.

The information being requested and observed is for compliance with the requirements of Section 326 of the USA Patriot Act implementing customer identification and verification requirements. Becoming a Member
There are three ways you can join Vantria FCU:

1) Join online!
Simply complete our online enrollment application - it only takes about 10 minutes to complete this quick online application. When you're finished, simply print and sign the membership card and mail it to us.

2) Complete a written application
You can also complete a written application received by mail or downloaded from our website. With either method, you must provide:

• Proof of eligibility (information showing that you live, work, worship, volunteer or go to school in Fairfax County or the City of Fairfax).
• Photo identification (such as a valid driver's license or work identification).
• Your Social Security Card as proof of citizenship. If opening a custodial account, the child's birth certificate (a copy is acceptable) and Social Security Card are required. PLEASE NOTE : If your Social Security Card states "VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH INS AUTHORIZATION," you are not eligible to join Vantria Federal Credit Union.
• $25 in the form of cash, check or money order for deposit into your Vantria FCU savings account. The $25 represents your share in the credit union and establishes you as a member.
• A completed new member account card.

To join by mail, click here to download instructions, new member account card and notary form. Complete the highlighted areas, include copies of your driver's license and social security card/birth certificate, notarized signature form and your opening deposit of $25 or more (no cash please). 3) Visit our branch
Located at 6708 Backlick Road, in the heart of southern Fairfax County, we're open six days a week, Monday through Saturday to serve you. Make sure to bring with you your driver's license, social security card, proof of eligibility and your opening deposit of $25 or more. Don't delay, join today!

Lifetime Membership - "Once a member, always a member"
If you change your job, retire, or move, it is not necessary to close your Vantria FCU account(s). Convenience services, such as online banking and bill payment, telephone banking, and bank by mail and fax services, make it easy to take advantage of our competitive rates and services no matter where you are located.
